Rajvee Bhalakia

Interim Principal

Ms. Bhalakia joined Kindezi in 2017 to lead Kindezi's curriculum and assessment programs. In 2018, Rajvee transitioned to be Kindezi Old Fourth Ward's Interim Principal. Prior to joining Kindezi, she worked as a teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal, and educational consultant in various states across the country. She has over ten years of building instructional leadership and capacity with building-level and district leaders. Ms. Bhalakia began her career in education as a Teach For America special education teacher. She received her bachelors degree from George Washington University, and holds her master's degree in Educational Leadership from Teachers College at Columbia University. 

Tiffany Embry

Assistant Principal and Instructional Coach for Grades K and 1

Ms. Embry joined Kindezi Old Fourth Ward as a founding 2nd Grade Math and Science teacher in 2015. In the 2017-2018 school year, Ms. Embry was promoted to Teacher of Distinction and was accepted into the leadership pipeline. Prior to working at Kindezi, Ms. Embry had over 10 years experience in education as a tutor, After-School Coordinator, teacher, and a mentor for both students and teachers. Ms. Embry received her bachelors degree in Elementary Education and her masters degree in Psychology from the University of Phoenix.

Kimberley Hyler

Assistant Principal and Instructional Coach for Grades 2 and 3

Ms. Hyler joined Kindezi in the 2017-2018 school year as a Second Grade Teacher and Grade Level Chair at Kindezi at Gideons. Prior to Kindezi, Ms. Hyler served in several leadership positions such as Dean of Students, Director of HeadStart, and Director of Education. Ms. Hyler received her bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education from University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee. She also holds two masters degrees in Reading & Literacy Elementary Education from Walden University and Teaching & Learning Early Childhood Education from Liberty University.

Ryan Free

Assistant Principal and Instructional Coach for Grades 4 and 5

Mr. Free joined Kindezi Old Fourth Ward for the 2015-2016 school year as a 5th grade ELA and Social Studies Teacher.  Mr. Free also served as the Co-Director of the Tutorial Program for the 2015-2016 school year. Prior to Kindezi, Mr. Free taught for three years in Washington D.C. as a fourth and fifth grade teacher at Two Rivers Public Charter School, and three years teaching fifth grade in Barrow County, Georgia. He received his bachelor's degree in early childhood education from The University of Georgia in 2009. 

Steven Posey

Assistant Principal and Instructional Coach for Grades 6-8

Mr. Posey joined Kindezi in 2015 as a founding teacher of Kindezi Old Fourth Ward. At Kindezi, Mr. Posey taught math and science in both fourth and sixth grades. He also served as the Director of the Tutorial Program and was the Grade Level Chairperson for sixth grade. Mr. Posey was recognized as a Teacher of Distinction in 2016. Prior to joining Kindezi, Mr. Posey taught in both the Griffin-Spalding County and Clayton County school systems. In 2012, he worked on the campaign to re-elect President Obama. Mr. Posey is originally from Alabama, and he received his bachelors degree from Xavier University of Louisiana.
