Gilberte Pascal

Founding Principal

Ms. Pascal is an eighteen year veteran of Title I schools in both Henry County, Georgia and Spanish Harlem, New York City.  She has served as a first, second, third and fifth grade teacher, reading coach, grade leader, mentor teacher and instructional lead teacher. She earned her bachelor's of arts degree in elementary education and psychology at Hunter College, where she also took her first master of science degree in early childhood education. She earned her second master's degree from Brooklyn College as a literacy teacher. She is currently working toward her specialist degree in educational leadership at Columbus State University. Her two children are, sadly, now too old to enroll in a Kindezi school.

Heidi Williams-Cooper

Assistant Principal, Kindergarten & First Grade

Ms. Williams-Cooper joined Kindezi Old Fourth Ward for the 2015-2016 school year as a founding kindergarten math and science teacher. Additionally, she served as the Kindergarten Chairperson, Gardening Coordinator, and assisted in writing curriculum. Prior to Kindezi, Ms. William-Cooper taught in the City Schools of Decatur for six years. She received her bachelor's degree in Leadership and Administration from Beulah Heights University.

Colleen Kennedy

Assistant Principal, First & Second Grade

Ms. Kennedy joined Kindezi West Lake for the 2013-2014 school year as a 5th grade math teacher and sports coordinator.  The following school year, she served as the middle school Loop Lead and West Lake's Cultural Sensitivity Coordinator.  Prior to Kindezi, Ms. Kennedy taught for five years in Gary, IN as a first and second grade teacher and served as part of the school leadership team as a teacher representative.  She received her bachelor's degree in education from Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN in 2004. Her daughter will enroll in kindergarten at Kindezi for the 2019-2020 school year.

Naeemah Ricketts

Assistant Principal, Third & Fourth Grade

Ms. Ricketts joined Kindezi Old Fourth Ward as a founding fourth grade English/Language Arts and Social Studies teacher in the 2015-2016 school year. Prior to teaching at Kindezi, Ms. Ricketts taught as a 7th Grade Special Education Co-teacher for English Language Arts for two years and as the SPED Electives Co-Teacher for grades six through eight for one year at Equality Charter School in Bronx, NY. In addition, Ms. Ricketts served as the Head Volleyball Coach for the co-ed middle school team at Equality Charter School. Before entering the teaching profession, Ms. Ricketts served as a coach for a variety of college level sports teams and behavior analyst tutor for autistic children. She received her bachelor's degree in Early Childhood and Childhood Education with a minor in Biology and her Master of Education degree in Literacy and Special Education from Iona College.

Ryan Free

Assistant Principal, Fourth & Fifth Grade

Mr. Free joined Kindezi Old Fourth Ward for the 2015-2016 school year as a 5th grade ELA and Social Studies Teacher.  Mr. Free also served as the Co-Director of the Tutorial Program for the 2015-2016 school year. Prior to Kindezi, Mr. Free taught for three years in Washington D.C. as a fourth and fifth grade teacher at Two Rivers Public Charter School, and three years teaching fifth grade in Barrow County, Georgia. He received his bachelor's degree in early childhood education from The University of Georgia in 2009. 

Donna Davis

Assistant Principal, Sixth Grade

Mrs. Davis joined Kindezi Old Fourth Ward for the 2015-2016 school year as a founding 5th grade Math and Science Teacher. During the 2015-2016 school year, Mrs. Davis also served as the 5th Grade Chairperson and assisted in writing curriculum for 5th grade science. Prior to Kindezi, she worked in Atlanta Public Schools for seven years as an 8th grade Physical Science Teacher and served as the Science Department Chairperson. Mrs. Davis received her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences & Chemistry and master’s degree in Science Education at Georgia State University. She is currently a doctoral candidate for Instructional Leadership at Nova Southeastern University. Her daughter, Alyssa, will enroll at Kindezi for the 2017-18 school year.
