Founding Principal, Gideons Elementary
Ms. Washington joined Kindezi as a sixth grade teacher in 2014. Prior to joining Kindezi, she taught for two years at KIPP STRIVE Academy, and five years in South Carolina with Aiken County Schools. She was named a founding vice principal for Kindezi Old Fourth Ward in 2015. Ms. Washington earned her undergraduate degree in journalism and mass communications from the University of South Carolina, and served as the Director of Corporate Sponsorship for Palmetto Parent Magazine before embarking upon a career in education. She later earned her Master of Education degree in divergent learning from Columbia College, and her Education Specialist degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Professional Development from Walden University.

Ms. Bolton joined Kindezi West Lake for the 2013-2014 school year as a 5th grade math teacher and sports coordinator. The following school year, she served as the middle school Loop Lead and West Lake's Cultural Sensitivity Coordinator. Prior to Kindezi, Ms. Bolton taught for five years in Gary, IN as a first and second grade teacher and served as part of the school leadership team as a teacher representative. She received her bachelor's degree in education from Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN in 2004. Her daughter will enroll in kindergarten at Kindezi for the 2019-2020 school year.

Ms. Ricketts joined Kindezi Old Fourth Ward as a founding fourth grade English/Language Arts and Social Studies teacher in the 2015-2016 school year. Prior to teaching at Kindezi, Ms. Ricketts taught as a 7th Grade Special Education Co-teacher for English Language Arts for two years and as the SPED Electives Co-Teacher for grades six through eight for one year at Equality Charter School in Bronx, NY. In addition, Ms. Ricketts served as the Head Volleyball Coach for the co-ed middle school team at Equality Charter School. Before entering the teaching profession, Ms. Ricketts served as a coach for a college level sports team and behavior analyst tutor for students with autism. She received her bachelor's degree in Early Childhood and Childhood Education with a minor in Biology and her Master of Education degree in Literacy and Special Education from Iona College.

Ms. Walker joined Kindezi in 2016 as a middle school teacher at Old Fourth Ward. The following year she became a founding teacher for Kindezi at Gideons and served as Grade Level Chair and After School Director. She was also named as a Teacher of Distinction in 2017. Prior to Kindezi, Ms. Walker taught middle school math and science for ten years in Fulton and Dougherty Counties. She received her bachelors degree in Middle Grades Education from Fort Valley State University and her Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Albany State University.
