How to Enroll
The open enrollment period for the 2018-19 school year is from January 8, 2018-February 28, 2018.
An enrollment application (through SchoolMint) will be placed on this page on January 8, 2018. Please fill out the application before February 28, 2018. Applications received after February 28, 2018 will be automatically placed on the wait list.
Parents may fill out an enrollment application for their student for both locations. Although unlikely, if the child is admitted into both schools during the lottery, the parent must decide and register the student at their preferred school location by the registration end date.
Lottery & Wait List
The lottery for enrollment in the 2018-19 school year will take place on March 8, 2018 at 6:00 pm at Kindezi Old Fourth Ward (386 Pine St. NE Atlanta, GA 30308) in the Media Center. Attendance to the lottery is not mandatory and results from the lottery will be posted on the SchoolMint platform after the lottery.
A Kindezi School representative will contact you after the lottery if you have received admission or were placed high on the wait list. The registration paperwork must be turned in by the registration end date to secure a spot. It is the parent’s responsibility to provide Kindezi the current phone number, email address, and mailing address.
Wait listed families are notified via phone call when a space becomes available, and will have 48 hours to respond to secure that space. We continue to fill spaces throughout the school year.
Please note that the wait list terminates prior to the lottery drawing for the following year. So if you would like to be entered into the lottery for enrollment in the following year, you must fill out a new application for the new school year.
How much does it cost to attend?
As public, non-profit charter schools, Kindezi is free for families. Thanks to a dramatic re-prioritization of expenditures, Kindezi is able to direct the majority of funding toward putting more teachers in classrooms without charging tuition or fees for regular academic hours. Studios and afterschool tutoring are also free of cost to families. Kindezi does operate low-cost afterschool care for students who do not participate in studios or tutoring or for those students whose parents must pick them up later.
Are uniforms required?
Yes. Uniform polos, khakis, and black closed-toe shoes are required. Uniform polos are available for purchase for a small fee.
When does school start?
You may view school start, end, and holiday dates on the 2017-18 school calendar.
