FAQ

Who is eligible to attend the Kindezi Schools?
Any student residing within the Atlanta Public School district is eligible to attend. To confirm your address is in the APS district, you may check here.

How much does it cost to attend?
As public, non-profit charter schools, Kindezi is free for families. Thanks to a dramatic re-prioritization of expenditures, Kindezi is able to direct the majority of funding toward putting more teachers in classrooms without charging tuition or fees for regular academic hours. Studios and afterschool tutoring are also free of cost to families. Kindezi does operate low-cost afterschool care for students who do not participate in studios or tutoring or for those students whose parents must pick them up later.

Where are the Kindezi Schools located?
There are two Kindezi School locations:
West Lake: 1890 Detroit Ave. NW Atlanta, GA 30314*
Old Fourth Ward: 386 Pine St. NE Atlanta, GA 30308

*The Kindezi School at West Lake will be moving to the Adamsville Elementary site (286 Wilson Mill Rd SW, Atlanta, GA 30331) in the fall of 2017 contingent on APS Board approval.

Parents may fill out an enrollment application for their student for both locations. Although unlikely, if the child is admitted into both schools during the lottery, the parent must decide and register the student at their preferred school location by April 28, 2017. There will be no exceptions made to this deadline.
