Any student that resides within the Atlanta Public Schools district may attend Kindezi. To confirm your address is in the APS district, you may check here.
If Kindezi receives more applicants than there are spaces available, a public lottery is run to determine which student(s) will receive the open seat(s). Kindezi offers priority enrollment to students who meet one or more of the priority qualifications, which are detailed below.
For The Kindezi School West, there are three categories in which a student is given priority (in order of priority):
- Children of Kindezi employees.
- Siblings* of enrolled students at Kindezi West.
- Students who are zoned for Walter White Elementary (see map here).
For The Kindezi School at Old Fourth Ward, there are three categories in which a student is given priority (in order of priority):
- Children of Kindezi employees.
- Siblings* of enrolled students at Kindezi Old Fourth Ward.
- Students that reside within the Old Fourth Ward neighborhood, as outlined with a black line on this map. Students must reside within the black outline on the map to receive preference.
*For enrollment purposes, a sibling is defined as having one common parent or guardian.

How to Enroll
Enrollment for the 2018-19 school year has closed. You may view your wait list or admission status at any time on SchoolMint.
The open enrollment period for the 2019-20 school year was from January 7, 2019 - March 1, 2019. Applications received after March 1, 2019 are automatically placed on the wait list.
Parents may fill out an enrollment application for their student for both locations. Although unlikely, if the child is admitted into both schools during the lottery, the parent must decide and register the student at their preferred school location by the registration end date.
Lottery & Wait List
The lottery for enrollment in the 2019-20 school year took place on March 7, 2019. Attendance to the lottery is not mandatory and results from the lottery will be posted on the SchoolMint platform after the lottery.
Wait listed families are notified when a space becomes available, and will have 48 hours to respond to secure that space. We continue to fill spaces throughout the school year.
Please note that the wait list terminates prior to the lottery drawing for the following year. So if you would like to be entered into the lottery for enrollment in the following year, you must fill out a new application for the new school year.
How much does it cost to attend?
As public, non-profit charter schools, Kindezi is free for families. Kindezi does operate low-cost afterschool care for students.
Are uniforms required?
Yes. Uniform polos, khakis, and black closed-toe shoes are required. Uniform polos are available for purchase for a small fee.
When does school start?
You may view school start, end, and holiday dates on the 2018-19 school calendar.
I applied for enrollment for the current school year. How can I find out the status of my student's application or wait list position?
