Kindezi Vision
Our vision, expressed by the “Kindezi” model, is a community of teachers and parents sharing the responsibility, privilege, and joy of holistically educating every child, preparing them thoroughly for creating success in all facets of life.
Our Mission
Our mission is to create a nurturing, empowering, parent-integrated, and safe small class/small school environment conducive to optimal growth and self-realization. Through tutorial, differentiation, and student-centered approaches to learning, we will develop the leader, artist, and scholar in all students while instilling in each a love of learning and a sense of pride.
We will realize our vision through...
A six-to-one student teacher ratio: Organizing the school into family-sized classrooms is a natural and more effective way to educate children
Tutorial Method: Teachers will tutor one to three students at a time, a technique that is research-proven to be the most effective way for students to learn
Differentiation: With a Differentiated Learning Plan for every student and hours of daily one-on-one time with students, teachers will determine how each child learns most effectively and adjust the curriculum accordingly
A Focus on Leadership and the Arts: Kindezi School teachers will seek to integrate the arts into math, social studies, science and language arts, a proven method for deeper and more engaged learning. A focus on leadership and service will challenge students to examine their critical role in the classroom, their local community, and as global citizens. |
